Here are Benjamin Black's four most popular workshops and master classes.

These and other presentations can be combined and/or customized as required.

1. "HOW TO BUILD AND EXECUTE A GREAT BRAND"

This 1-2 hour workshop applies world-class branding principles to brands in the health and fitness industry. Whether you're a multi-national gym chain owner, a supplement company marketer, or a personal trainer or instructor, you have a brand, and it needs to be actively and intelligently managed.

Every day, whether you like it or not, you are either building or destroying your brand with everything you do:

  • How well thought out is your business strategy?
  • Why should people come to you instead of your competitors?
  • Based on the competition, your customers, and your own unique strengths, how have you designed your customer's entire experience?
  • How do you answer the phone?
  • How you dress and come across to people?
  • How you relate to prospects, customers, partners, and competitors?
  • How does your brand look and feel (logo, visual vocabulary and design elements) and how does that support your business and brand strategy?
  • How do people experience your brand and how do you know?

We use real-world and live examples from participants to help understand, build and execute a brand that will help drive revenues and stand out from your competition.

This workshop is for anyone needing to develop or implement a successful brand and business: personal trainers, instructors, club owners, product and company brands, and corporate organizations.

2. "WHAT MAKES YOU TICK?"

"What Makes You Tick?" is a 1-2 workshop designed to help you understand yourself and others more deeply; how to find and stay on your “path”, and how to bring those learnings to your own life and career.

You don’t need a therapist to tell you that it can be hard to understand what drives certain patterns or areas in your life. Many of us find ourselves in new or repeated situations without knowing why. Your unconscious is driving much more of your life than you realize, but the good news is that the answers are all inside of us.

Using the wisdom and writings of Carl Jung (psychologist and therapist), Joseph Campbell (mythology scholar) and other research in mythology and the psyche, this workshop will use a series of very simple yet profound exercises to help participants discover what is driving them unconsciously and how to tap into inner truth for themselves.

  • What and who has shaped you?
  • How can you be curious and full of growth, and at peace with yourself at the same time?
  • What is your unique individuality and experience?
  • How do you tend to connect with others? How would you like to connect with others in the future?
  • How can you change if you want to?
  • What truly makes you tick on deeper, unconscious levels?

Your written answers are for no one else except you to see and keep as a record of where you were on that day. Those who are comfortable will have an opportunity to connect, share and discuss their insights with the group, depending on how the session unfolds.

Plan to bring a notebook and pen to write down your discoveries!

3. "BLACKBERRY YOGA: ANCIENT TRUTH APPLIED TO MODERN LIFE and YOU"

How do we stay connected to the deep truths and mysteries within ourselves when we live in an ultra-fast-paced, technological, and outwardly-focused world? Blackberry Yoga is a realistic, sometime irreverent approach to the challenge of living from your “center” in a world of over-packed schedules, stress, and lives based on modern gadgets like the computer and BlackBerry.

Welcome to the Rat Race. There is even a new acronym to describe our obsession for achievement, 'busy-ness' and drama: Perpetual Stress Syndrome (PSS). Ancient and inner truths will always be inside of us, no matter what modern costume, role, problem or new gadget we use. Blackberry Yoga is a realistic, down-to-earth, sometimes irreverent approach to this ancient practice of connecting to the inner self through movement and breath while living in our modern world. This is a yoga flow class (Sun Salutation Series A and B, Warrior series, deep hip and shoulder openers, Savasana) and with a focus on doing yoga correctly, which means not trying to get anywhere, or compete against yourself, or others, or do it “better” than you did yesterday. It’s about balance, and about being where and who you are as fully as possible, especially during your life off the yoga mat.

We focus more on the breath (Ana Pana) than on the physical workout (which happens on its own), including a section-by-section scan and healing of the body. The Blackberry Yoga master class will not only give participants their own powerful yoga experience. It will also show participants how to apply the wisdom of ancient practice to modern life and their own (and their students') yoga practices and personal challenges.

4. "YOUR BLISS: HOW TO FIND IT AND FOLLOW IT"

It is never too late to figure out what you love to do, however that might look, and to create a life built on pursuing your dreams. "Your Bliss: How to Find It and Follow It" is an in-depth workshop designed to help you find (or remember) what your bliss is, and get busy living it.

The good and bad news is that no one else can tell you what it is. It's not in any one book, or workout DVD, or sold in any store. You are going to have to discover your bliss for yourself. Some great people can help you, and guide you. But if you follow their path too closely, then you're following THEIR PATH, NOT YOURS.

The great news is that all of the answers are in you, right now. You just have to quiet yourself enough, and be brave enough, to listen and then start following what you know is true, a little bit more every day.

  • What is your bliss?
  • What makes you feel alive, as if you were resonating at a higher frequency?
  • What makes your eyes light up, and you could talk about it for hours?
  • What is so engaging for you that it makes you lose track of time and never run out of creative energy?

We will go through a series of questions to help you find what your "path" or "bliss" really is, and another set of things to do to help you find it and start living it.

Your written answers are for no one else except you to see and keep as a record of where you were on that day. Those who are comfortable will have an opportunity to connect, share and discuss their insights with the group, depending on how the session unfolds.
